Topic: Resizing Graphic Elements (pages 104-107 &110)
Free Transform tool (Located in the Tool’s panel)
1. Select the Free Transform tool icon
2. On stage, click the object you want to resize
· Your object will become highlighted. Transformation handles will appear on all four sides and at the corners of the objects bounding box.
3. Select the Scale Modifier (Located in the Tool’s panel)
4. Position your pointer over a Transformation handle
· Your pointer should change into a double –headed arrow (Which indicates the direction that you would like your object to change)
5. Pull or push the handle to make your object grow or shrink.
Transform Panel (Located under Window tab)
1. Select the object you would like to resize
· A value of 100% should appear in the width and height fields)
2. Resize (2 ways)
· Proportionally
- You must SELECT the Constrain check box (Located next to the width and height fields)
- This means if you enter a new value in one field then Flash will automatically update the other
· Aspect Ratio Change
- Make sure the Constrain check box is DESELECTED
- Meaning that you can now change both width and height separately (Values lower than 100% shrinks your object while values higher than !00% enlarges it)
3. Press Return/Enter
