Merging Layers in various ways; Flattening Layers
To merge layers:
· Click the upper layer of any of the layers in the layers palette
· Control>Right Click with your mouse and click merge down
· You obviously want to order your layers in the layers palette do decide on what you want and don’t want to merge
To merge visible layers:
· Make sure all the layers you want to merge are visible by clicking on the eye symbol next to your layer. If you can see the eye, it’s visible, if you can’t then it’s not visible
· Control>Right Click with your mouse and click merge visible layers
· To copy layers, simply choose the desired layer hover over it on your canvas, press Alt/Option and drag to create a copy
To Flatten Layers:
· Select all of your desired layers by making sure they are visible
· Choose any layer in the layers palette and press Control>Right Click with your mouse
Then go down to flatten image, where your image will become one background layer
