Combining Objects using the Pathfinder Command(s)
· Create or draw as many multiple shapes as you would like, making sure they overlap each other.
· Choose any of the 5 selection tools at the top of your toolbox.
· Make sure all of the desired objects are selected.
· Then, display the Pathfinder palette using Cmd-Shift-F9.
Click the first button in the palette, which is the “Add to shape Area”. The individual objects will then merge together creating 1 single shape.
